What's Going On!

On Tuesday, May 15th, the Murray CLC hosted a Family Fun Fair. Children and adults from the Murray area were able to participate in games, rides and other activities, while enjoying dinner to help fundraise money for sustaining the Murray CLC. In addition to the activities, there was a silent auction, which did very well. Overall, the Murray CLC generated over $2,000. In addition to that money, the Murray CLC will submit a request to Sam's Club of Murray to match up to $1,000.

This was a huge success with over 500 participants attending the event. The money generated from this event will go towards a program next year.

Currently, the Murray CLC is looking closely at its budgets and figuring out how it can run a program similar to its present state.

LATEST NEWS

After meeting with Mayor Daniel C. Snarr to help us sustain the Murray CLC Afterschool Program for next year. He stated that he was on board with the Murray CLC and that he will bring it up at the next city council meeting. The Murray CLC recently found out from Mayor Snarr, that the City Council voted to award $20,000 in funding to the Murray CLC. This is a huge accomplishment and will help sustain this wonderful program through the 2007-2008 school year.

Next time you see Mayor Snarr or the City Council, please thank them for supporting the Murray CLC afterschool program.
